Claire Lavarreda is a World History Ph.D. student at Northeastern University, focusing early modern New France + New Spain and Indigenous-European Catholic relations. Her areas of interest include Book History, Indigenous Studies, and American History. She is the recipient of two Rare Book School scholarships, is currently interning for the Association on American Indian Affairs, and is the Assistant Director for the Digital Integration Teaching Initiative for Fall 2024-Spring 2025. She received her Master’s in Public History and her Certificate in Digital Humanities in Spring 2023, and passed her qualifying PhD exams in Spring 2024.
