Darina Sanzhieva is the Cultural Director of the Buryaad Mongol United Association as well as the manager of the band Zerd. What began as a small endeavor to unite fellow Mongolians in New York & New Jersey has since grown into a large organization. Sanzhieva now manages multiple festivals and projects meant to celebrate Mongolian heritage, teach youth their culture and language, and practice cultural music.
